This, and the two books that follow, are a insightful and facinating series from the man who brought the world the Chronicles of Narnia.
CS Lewis took science fiction and made it something that kept you on the edge of your seat. This is a must-read that you will have a hard time putting down! They are short books and go quickly!

I didn't like it as much as the 1st one in the Space trilogy. It appears Lewis is trying a parallel with the creation of Earth. Except on Venus there isn't the fall of man with Adam and Eve ... but a different take on it. Its a nice "what if" idea on the story.
"I bought the Trilogy for my son who was in middle school at the time 10yrs ago. He never read it but I did. It took me 3 months to read the trilogy but I still remember how great the book was. If you can stick it out, you too, will be glad you did. What a mind to be able to write something so classic. It's in my personal library."
Interesting. Holds your captivity, but tough to digest at times.
