Jessica and Ian were a golden couple-young, glamorous, successful. And deeply in love. Until one afternoon's casual faithlessness threatened their relationship, ended their days of happiness and nights of desire. Or so it seemed. But for Jessica and Ian, the lesson of love was only just beginning.

A Perfect Life by Danielle Steel is unfortunately pretty far from being perfect. Part of the book is typical Danielle Steel - beautiful people, a little romance, some trying circumstances - all coming together at the end for a predictable ending. Part, however, is about how the main character deals with her daughter's blindness. It is disappointing and does not fit with the character or the resources and possibilities that exist today.

I had just come off a high from reading Winners, and I was a little disappointed by this story. A mother from hell who has sent her blind daughter away since she was eight years old, suddenly in an emergencey situation takes the daughter home, but has to have some outside help to deal with her. She learns that her daughter isn't that bad to live with, and if she would just concentrate a little less on work, and more on the joys of life, she would be a happier person.

This book held my interest throughout...interesting plot twists and turns, including a blind daughter and a 'cougar' relationship!
I recommend it!
