I love this series. My only disappointment is that I only have two more to read...
Series: Agatha Raisin Series, #16
Agatha Raisin was nearly killed by her former secretary. Not to mention a hired hit man. Otherwise, she probably would not have accepted the case when Robert Smedley walks through the door of her detective agency requesting that she get the goods on his wife. Agatha hates divorce cases. This one quickly turns into murder and Smedley's wife--the perfect paragon of the title--hires Agatha to find out who killed her husband and why.
Typical MC Beaton. A formula, but a kind of comforting one. Good book for a quick read on a rainy or snowy day. This one is after she starts her own agency, and has less of the man-trapping in it than the previous ones. I kind of like her attempts to attract men - haven't we all been there?
Agatha Raisin is at it again. Adding employees to her PI agency, who are unconventional. And she as always is found interfering with the police. When one of her clients dies Agatha and her eccentric staff look for the killer and try to avoid being victims. I always like Agatha Raisin because she is not your usual detective, not always likeable but is interesting.
Ms. Beaton never disappoints...another good mystery with Agatha Raisin and the Carsely village denizens on the case.
