Peril under the palms finds Iris Cooper, the flapper/sleuth, sailing for Honolulu with her Aunt Hermione and schoolmate Antionete Caulfield. The luxury cruise soon turns into a busan's holiday, however, when Antoinette reveals that she is being "haunted" by a mysterious Woman in White who claims to be her long dead mother.
