This is second story - Greer Fairchild's story - in the Desperate Debutantes triology. Setting is 1820, Wales. Great story; I love this dark, gruff, scarred hero, Rhodrick Glendower, Earl of Radnor.
Next will be Phoebe's story, due out in late October.

This book was excellent. I like that the heroine had a mind of her own and did not back down. I like that she was not afraid to speak her mind. I also like that Rhodrick was a Prince that had his own issues and was not the stud that all romance novels seem to have. He had two physical injuries and despite those Greer was still able to fall in love with him. I think this book was very witty and it had sex where it needed too but did not overwhelm the book. I think this is a keeper in my shelf for a while. I would re-read this and will be reading her other books as well.

Lady Greer Fairchild travels to Wales seeking an inheritance she is not sure is real. But, since her only prospects are to get a husband, and she is not in love with anyone, she gambles on the unknown. An expected one month journey turns into seven months. Her companion dies mid-way, and a supposed friend accompanies her the rest of the way, with ulterior motives. And, the gentleman she must ask for her inheritance turns out to be a prince of Wales, a man with issues. As Lady Greer begins to work through some of his issues, she finds the house she always sees in dreams of her mother. Interesting.

This is the second book in the Desperate Debutantes series. It was as good if not better than the first. It was another book that I couldn't put down. I am anxiously awaiting book #3.

This is the second of 3 books that deal with 3 young women(of course). This is a rather fun book set in Wales. I found it entertaining, staying up late to finish. All three were great fun reads. There was a hint of spirits but not the main point of the book.

This is the second book in the Desperate Débutantes Series. I liked this book much more than the first. I found the heroine to be very charming. I intend to carry on with this series.

Second book in the Desperate Debutantes series. Lady Greer Fairchild's only hope of avoiding marriage to the first bidder lies in journeying into the untamed Welsh countryside in search of an inheritance she's not sure even exists. There she meets the Earl of Radnor, also known as the prince of Powys who holds her captive until she can prove her inheritance.

Oh My Gosh! How stupid can a woman be? The answer to that question is in this book! I was so freaking frustrated with her I almost threw this book across the room a couple of times. All I could think was "were women really that naive back then?" Because if they were, I totally understand why they had to be sheltered so much. Talk about cotton candy brain!
Kiddos to the prince for not inflicting bodily harm on to her and keeping his cool. How someone like him could love someone like her was the second think I kept wondering about. Nothing in common just in the same proximity of each other.
Entertaining read if you can handle all of the eye rolling you will be doing.

Lady Greer Fairchild's only hope of avoiding marriage to the first bidder lies in journeying into the untamed Welsh countryside in search of an inheritance she's not sure even exists - one reportedly controlled by Rhodrick Glendower, Earl of Radnor, also known as the Prince of Powys. Rumor has it that the prince is rough, ruthless - even a murderer. But Greer never imagined that the brute would refuse to let her leave his remote castle until she has proven her identity. Or that she would find herself powerfully attracted to this passionately virile man whose gruff demeanor belies a proud and sensual nature. The further Greer falls under his spell, the more determined she becomes to unravel the secrets of her Welsh heritage and the mystery surrounding the dark prince who dares her to become his wife and princess.
