Loved it. Trace is not a complicated man and it comes through in his book. A very easy read. The chapters are short, sweet, and to the point - nothing intense. Trace and I grew up in very different places but share a lot of the same opinions on virtually every topic. Well written.

If you love Trace Adkins like I do,you will love this book. He isn't shy about his feelings and gives u his honest opinions about our world today.

This is the best book I have read in 2008! I have always appreciated Trace Adkins' music, but I am overwhelmed by his philosophy! Only partly a biography, Trace shows he is more than an entertainer who looks good--he researches his belief systems and then acts on them. Look at his stand on illegal immigration, the war in Iraq, unions, the Civil War...here's a blurb from the back cover: "I stand for personal responsibility and against anything that undermines it. So much of what I see in our country today represents a hell-bent flight from responsibility to victimhood. From acting on one's convictions to going along just to get along. From making decisions based on moral principles to taking the easy way out. That's not what the United States of America is about, and that's not the legacy our children should inherit."
