Wonderful romance. A great summer read that is funny and hot. The female and male leads are really great.

The story was quite boring and predictable. There was nothing new or original in this book and the writing was not all that great. The ending seemed to quickly (and unrealistically) resolve issues that had been building up and building up throughout the book. I probably won't read another book by this author.

Pietra's Cajun housekeeper warned her of impendng "bad juju." Man oh man, dontcha just hate it when that happens. There's the body of a hot little blonde out in the boat house freezer, gramma just bought the farm & there's speculation that she had somethin' to do with grampa's demise & possibly that of the blonde - simultaneously?

Everybody in the family dances to a different drummer so they leave it to Pietra "Pete" to sweep up the debris & dispose of it before the family name is....tarnished? A little late for that, but money does buy respectability doesn't it.

Toss into the mix a hot divorce lawyer that revs up "Pete's" thermostat & curls her toes.

Oh well, Pete's a good ole girl, make that a Southern good ole girl & honey, our mama taught us to shuffle faster than the still turns out the good stuff.

My money's on Pete.
