I was assigned to read this for a class. It is a graphic nonfictional story about a french photographer who decides to follow a 'Doctors without Borders' mission to Afghanistan during the 80's or 90's. The story is told with a combination of photographs and hand-drawn cels and is actually an interesting but difficult read. Because of the graphic nature of it, I was able to read it relatively quickly. I thought the entire book was informative and educational, but parts of it were difficult to stomach, so that is why I'm only giving it 3 stars. I would recommend reading this for anyone interested in the middle east / Afghanistan / Pakistan.
