This is the first book in a great cozy series. IMO this one HAS to be read first because it sets the entire basis for the rest of the series (and the 2nd book sums up the entire book in one paragraph and would ruin the suspense if it's read before this one). Main character is rich, lives in Houston area, and story begins with a murder. Lots of twists and turns in this one for being such a short story. In this one character is 'working' at computer company she and her twin sister inherit but isn't 'her calling' and she tries to solve the murder that begins the book.

Very pleasant read, with a nice twist at the end. Enjoyable protagonist, not too stupid or pushy, with a pleasant voice. I will be buying more in this series.

I enjoyed this very much. It's moderately realistic, mildly and pleasantly funny, and gives you something to think about in the end. The author's Texas-grown similes are a continual hoot--she's wildly creative. I'm looking forward to number 2 in the series--as soon as my turn comes.
