I cannot recommend this version of The Pilgrim's Progress highly enough. Hazelbaker did a remarkable job of translating the original English into a modern version that was very easy to understand without losing the integrity of the original work.
This book begins with an introduction written in Bynyan's original verse, and it really is like reading another language. Without this modern English translation, this beautiful story would have been an incredibly tedious read and I would have missed out on so many of the wonderful descriptions and concepts. Instead, this book was simple enough that I could read it to my small children and know that they would be able to enjoy it as well.
The Pilgrim's Progress is a beautiful Christian allegory, and this version makes it easily accessible to all.

Other than the Bible, this book is an outstanding piece of work. It is written allegorically with the character named Christian and his journey through different towns looking for the Celestial City and meeting lots of interesting characters. A masterpiece!
