Cute. Weird. Fun. Strange. Off the wall. As mysteries go, I've read better, but not many funnier or stranger. Think Dave Barry's Tricky Business featuring a stuffed squirrel, a crazy Russian immigrant, and a taxidermist, and you've got Pipsqueak.

A slightly demented mystery - a fun read.

A stuffed squirrel as the centerpiece of a mystery story? Yep, and it is an amusing tale - fast, quirky and off-beat.
Works very hard to be wacky, and it is 75 pages too long.
Funny cozy series
If you like humor and you like mystery this is the book for you. A wacky chase of a mysterious stuffed squirrel by a profesional taxidermy collector. Why is this squirrel so important to so many people and why are they willing to kill to get it? Request the book and find out.
Powell's clerks choice for book of the month. Powell's for those who don't know is one of the largest bookstores in the U.S.
Enjoyable to read on the bus to and from work. A taxidermist gumshoe, a stuffed squirrel, secret governments, conspiracy theories... mad cap!
A quick easy read.
It's as if Chuck Palahniuk and David Sedaris set out to wrote a Bukowski style, tongue in cheek mystery. It's full of many twists and turns, colorful characters and a pretty in depth look into the world of taxidermy. I actually learned a lot. Brian Wiprud really did his research. It was a nice, quick, fun read. I've already ordered the second book!
I LOVE this series! It takes a warped sense of humor to write mysteries about a taxidermist, but they are FUN!
