Private eye Spenser investigates a case of corruption at Taft University. The book is very well-written, fast-paced, action-packed, and replete with three-dimensional, realistic characters. Mr. Parker occasionally overdoes the detail of what people are wearing, or the decor of a building, but it does not bog down the story.
A Spenser thriller. ..."When talent comes, can graft be far behind? This time Spenser's in for the closest shaves of his career when he discovers that college basketball can be a killer sport.
