Same ol' same ol' in Trenton. It's a nice short read for a dreary afternoon that will get some laughs while you wait for the next book. However, it's not one of my favorites in the series.

Normally I don't care much about the Between-the-Numbers Plum books, as I don't find the stories quite as fulfilling or entertaining as the regular books in this series. This is the first one that I have to say I really enjoyed. The gang was at their finest, and even Diesel grew on me this time around. There were several 'laugh out loud' moments, as well as plenty of action and blown-up cars. Much better than I expected.

A short, quick read. Stephanie goes to Atlantic City to save her grandma who's been kidnapped. Diesel is back to help her out. This is a cute read, but not nearly as fun, funny or enjoyable as the rest of the series. HOWEVER, it was nice not to have to wait till summer for a new installment.

Normally I don't care for the between books, However this one is great!!!
As normal Stephanie and her grandma are up to it again.... Diesel's back and hot on the trail of a man in green pants. Grandma decides to take off and play the slots in Atlantic City....
Ok enough said read the book and be prepared for laughs...

A cute, quick read, but not nearly as captivating,or funny as the rest of the series. It does do it's job and keep Stephanie and her buddies on your mind while waiting for Fearless Fourteen. Evanovich is never a bad read so if you are a die-hard Plum fan, don't leave this one out.

The only disappointment with this book is that it wasn't longer! Diesel returns to the between the numbers book, and Grandma Mazur's back causing major headaches for Stephanie, teaming up again with Lula and Connie. Prior characters reappear in supporting or cameo roles. The book does its job - I can't wait for the next numbered installment.

Another in her series of between the numbers books that deals with good looking hunk "Diesel". Boyfriend Joe and another hunk Ranger are mentioned a couple of times, but no real love story. Grandma is up to her normal crazy self, along with Connie and Lula. Another car blown up and a kidnapping.

This is your typical between the numbers Stephanie Plum novel. If your a fan of this series it has a few enjoyable moments at Lula's expense, but otherwise it's a mediocre Plum story.

I really wasn't impressed. I remember loving these books when I first got into the series a few years ago. Now, I do find the books (usually from the library) when they come out - but reading them just kind of leaves me empty.

Love love love this book... okay so I love all of the Plum books. This was just as every bit of good as the rest of the series. Love Deisel. Plenty of laughs. There's a leporchon that runs around naked because he thinks it makes him invisible if he does this naked... I'd pay some good money to see this happen outside of my mind. If you don't read this book do me a favor and go shoot your foot. :)

I love the inbetween the numbers books. I especially look forward to finding out what Diesel is up to now. It's a nice break from the love issues of Stephanie, Morrelli, and Ranger. I love all of the Stephanie Plum books.

I love this series. Stephanie is so funny and is so real. Granted some of the situations in these books are downright silly and unbelievable but that is what makes the series so damn entertaining. The between the numbers novels are sillier than most but still pack the same punch as the number series. This book was no exception. If you are a fan of this series than you will like this book.

I don't know if it's just me, but I really think that this series has been going downhill with the past few books. It just doesn't feel as funny as it did when I had read the first books with the Plum gang. The characters never change and you can pretty much guess how every book is going to end. I also don't know why the author bothers to have characters who work with law enforcement in this book because it seems like nobody knows how to obey the law. If this were any other series, the characters would've been arrested or in prison by now. I've had to learn to read it as a parody of actual mystery books because so many things are just so out there sometimes. I don't even laugh as much as I used to because the parts that are supposed to be funny just feel like they've been done before in this series. (I mean seriously, we already know Lula is an awful dresser--I don't need another fashion update every ten pages.)
Overall, the book is weak, but a fast read, and I'm glad all I spent on it was a credit.

I love Stephanie Plum and Morelli and Ranger and Grandma Mazur and everyone in the Burg! I want to be Grandma Mazur!

This is a hilarious series of funny storied books. I read one book and then had to find them all.
Unfortunately Janet doesn't know how to turn on the heat for the romantic side of her stories... and how come Stephanie is never compensated for her losses, and is always just an out of luck victim?? Her new brother in law could be suing these guys for her.

This book was laugh-out-loud funny! It reminded me of the Keystone Cops I used to see on the old silent films. Everyone was running in all directions and bumping into each other in hilarious ways. I think this is the funniest book of the Stephanie Plum series. I had to stop reading several times because I was laughing out loud. It's not high-brow, but it sure made my day.
This is another 'Between the Numbers' books that features Stephanie Plum, Diesel, Lula, Grandma Mazur and the usual collection of off-beat characters that populate Evanovich's Stephanie Plum books. This one was so funny I didn't really miss Morelli or Ranger. Diesel is kind of growing on my too.
I don't want to give too much of the plot away. Let's just say that Grandma Mazur gets into a funny situation early on in the plot and it's up to Stephanie and Diesel to save the day. Lulu almost steals the book with some FUNNY scenes in an Atlantic City Casino. The scenes with Doug the horse were a riot.

A light, quick read. Stephanie has to save her Grandma in this one. Diesel is back and both Morelli and Ranger make small appearances. Not as in depth and fun as the regular number series, but a nice read to keep your taste buds going until the next one comes out.

Easy read. It just took me a couple of hours. I didn't enjoy this one nearly as much as all of the others in the series, but it did have a few laughs. Not enough Morelli, though!

Another great book by Janet Evanovich! I swear that I was laughing more at this one than any of the other ones - Lula is such a trip! I just love the books she puts out! Fantastic and fun book!
Laugh out loud funny!
This was by far my favorite between the numbers. For some reason, Diesel has grown on me during this book. It was just as funny and engrossing as the rest of the Stephanie Plum books. Highly recommend this book.
All of Janet's books are excellent. It's great to follow the anventures of Stephanie, LuLu and Grandma in their bumbling adventures. I would recommend all the Plum books to anyone that needs a light, laugh out loud read every once in a while.
Another hit by Janet Evanovich! Between Stephanies family, friends and felones, there is a laugh on every page!
Didn't actually read it yet, but somehow ended up with 2 copies, so I'm putting one back on the market.
This is the first of Janet Evanovich's books I've read and the combo of suspense & Laugh out loud moments was perfect.. Each character hilarious in their own way. I was glad that this book was just one of a series of many others (I decided to backtrack to the beginning and I am currently awaiting delivery of the first book in the series) You definitly have to read this book if you think it is impossible to roll together laugh out loud humor & shoot outs between bounty hunters & mobsters (as result of the kidnapping of a family member.......and an injured race horse!!!) This suspense/thriller is perfectly peppered with laugh out loud humor (believe me i read it in bed one night and i kept laughing (amost to tears over a few things) and my fiance kept asking "what is so funny" and when i ready him the line(s) i was laughing at from the book he even thought it was funny too!)
It's been years since I read a book by this author. I had forgotten how humorous her novels were. Maybe I just viewed them as mysteries. Anyway, this is a read to tickle one's funny bone. It's an easy read, one you can finish in a few hours. This is the type of book you pick up for a change of pace, to lighten your day and to laugh at the antics of the characters. It's just plain fun.
Good read. Not as good as the "#" books, but a close 2nd.
another stephanie plum book I tried to read and couldn't, I'm just not a fan of this character or this author, it was not interesting about her grandma that found a bag of money and went gambling, etc. or the little man in green pants or anything, it was so dumb that I just put it down and posted it here, maybe someone else likes this character.
Love everything Janet Evanovich writes. This book keeps you laughing from the start to finish. It's very intertaining.
Another fun, mindless Between the Numbers novel from the Plum series. A quick read with many funny moments.
Why, why, why?
Do I get suckered into these 'between' the numbers books?
I always feel like I got taken & this one was no exception. It was a quick read, but now I am seriously questioning if I am going to continue on.
Please Janet, make me laugh in number 14...

another great plum novel....hilarious...a quick fun read
I loved this book as all of Janet Evanovich's books. She is a hilarious writer. I would recomend any of her books.
Cute book. Not the best Stephanie Plum, but good.
This is cute and comical. I love the number series with Stephanie Plum but I find the in between ones not to be as good. This one however kept my attention and was a fast easy read for a rainy day.
Very fast read. "St. Patrick's Day" theme. Fun Atlantic City scenes. Grandma Mazur in rare form.
Wonderful as always!

This is a great book. I laughed so much and it's one of those I'll enjoy reading again.
Really quick good reading!
Always a kick!
Stephanie has to find Grandma Mazur. She has disappeared with a huge black bag early in the morning and none of her friends know where she is... The pamphlet next to her bed says Daffy's in Atlantic City. So Steph follows this hunch with Lula, Connie and Diesel has arrived, just in time to help. Here we go loop de loo, there we go loop de lie... Ranger and Morelli are off doing other things and this gang finds Grandma Mazur with Briggs at the casino with the black bag which has Mobster Delvina's money in it! So the Fab Five have an adventure with a Horse named Doug, a mobster named Delvina, and his henchman named Mickey.
