This is very clear and concise explanation of poetic terms. It was mandatory reading for my introductory poetry writing class in college. This book manages do what other poetry books fail miserably at: giving the information you need to know without adding in a ridiculous amount of New Age fluff. What you won't get out of this book is a exercises to help you practice what you read. None the less I absolutely recommend this book to anyone who is serious about writing poetry.
