Another great story by Bentley Little. If you aren't real fond of Insurance Company's in general you'll like this story. Just be glad Insurance Companys don't really have this kind of power!

One of my favorites by Little as it almost seems that something like this could happen to you. Not an every day concern of course, but it's not that far fetched of an idea as you're reading the book. Good creepy plot!

Just sign on the dotted line, Hunt Jackson at the end of his rope figured this policy for a good deal. Until the insurance company starts to abuse him over the phone, vandalizes your home and authorize treatment to isolated hospital.. One more thing if they require a pound of flesh for our investment don't bother to run it's just the POLICY...

Bentley Little has a way of turning the things we take little notice and make it devastatingly horrible. A home owners's association, the postal service, a college, a resort, gosh! This time, an insurance company. If you've never had to deal with your own insurance red tape, this will put the fear of small print and addendums in you!

he is a little scarey, somtimes i think scarier than stephen king.
most of his books takes place in arizona. i dont like reading by myself when home alone at night. about people selling insurance policies. beware you were warned, these people can be very pushy.

I really enjoyed this book. The story starts off a little slow, but then picks up for a fun ride into horror/fantasy

This is the only one I have ever read of Mr. Little's books, so I'm not sure how it compares to others. He writes a little like Dean Koontz, I suppose. Too wordy, and the characters are lurching stereotypes, for the most part. But it passed a day where I didn't really want to do too much thinking about other stuff. And it has demonic monsters posing as insurance sales people. So that's a plus.

Another scary one from Little about life insurance policies that are horribly evil!

Bentley Little's novels are freaky, and this book is no exception. Makes you want to read your own insurance policy manual more carefully!

"Unemployed, divorced, and living in a new state, Hunt Jackson would be considered a risk by most insurance companies. Lucky for him, he's found one that will take him. All he has to do is sign on the dotted line-and note the minor provisions:

If we abuse you over the phone, don't hang up.

If we vandalize your home, don't get mad.

If we authorize treatment at an isolated hospital that's strangely empty, don't get scared.

ONE MORE THING:

If we require a pound of flesh for our investment, don't bother running. It's just The Policy." (taken from back cover)

This book was great. I read it in 2 days. It was disturbing like all Bentley Little books, but it was a great read.

Who would've thought to write a horror story about insurance? Very interesting plot and concept of the power of how insurance companies can control, the ending might be kind of predictable to be a horror story but yet this is a good book
