This was a very interesting look at polygamy in today's society, in particular in the State of Utah. The author is a former member of a fundamentalist polygamy group and has been a member of law enforcement. At times this book is like reading a textbook or a religious document but it is VERY fascinating. I was surprised to learn that there is an organized group of women that actively promotes polygamy and feels that it plural marriages should not be a criminal offense. What was even more shocking was to read the documented cases of forced marriages, spouse and/or child abuse in the fundamentalist polygamy world that go unpunished in Utah.
