Love the "nursery rhyme" Alex Cross series -- always a good mystery and lots of tension.
Helpful Score: 1
"Pop Goes the Weasel" is one of the best of the Alex Cross series yet. I'm a long-time fan of James Patterson and own a lot of his books. I have always liked the Alex Cross series and am always searching for every last book that James Patterson puts out on it. "Pop goes the Weasel" was not only a good suspense thriller but it kept you on your toes at all times. One of those books that is hard to put down...I enjoyed the plot and the characters in it. Geoffrey Shafer is one of the craftiest killers yet. And Alex is Alex trying to balance his work life with his personal life.

Corss is one of the best protagonists of the modern thriller genre, and one of the most likable. Patterson has a unique gift for making the reader feel Cross's joys and pains.
I don't like the fact that Patterson has killed off so many women in Alex Cross's life. He likely does it for the effect that it has on the readers (including me). In this book he introduces a new serial killer, and that is an enjoyable change. Instead of the super-genius serial killer, we have a random serial killer. I enjoyed it a lot, but not significantly more or less than the previous books in the series.
"Cross is one of the best protagonists of the modern thriller genre, and one of the most likable. Pattterson has a unique gift for making the reader feel Cross's joys and pains.
Another great Alex Cross novel. Looking forward to the sequsl.

Another in the line of the Alex Cross series....
A series of killings in the forgotten, crime-infested ghettos of southeast D.C. has sent Cross and his 6'9" 250-pound partner, John Sampson, in search of the "Jane Doe" killer. However, their racist, tyrannical boss George Pitman orders them to stay out of the southeast and investigate the high-profile murder of a wealthy white man. Cross already has suspicions that the murders are linked, but when Sampson's ex turns up in an abandoned southeast warehouse kicked to death, the two detectives carry on with their original investigation. Meanwhile, Cross's longtime love, Christine (Cat and Mouse), has taken prominence in his life, and it looks as if the two will finally get hitched--with one glitch: Cross puts everything he loves in jeopardy as he obsessively goes after the Weasel.

A serial killer with diplomatic immunity. Another really good one from the Alex Cross series. Again these are suspenseful beach read type books. This is an excellent example of he genre, but it is a suspense novel. Read it before The Big Bad Wolf and London Bridges or the surprise ending won't be a surprise.
This was a great story, though I was a little unsatisfied with the ending. Still, an overall good read!

Another excellent thriller from James Patterson. Alex Cross just gets better with each book. You can't help but like him and his family and John Sampson.
Alex Cross is back, and he's in love. Unfortunately a series of chilling murders in Washington intervenes, with a plot twist you'll never forget. Patterson prsents a chilling villain, a love story of great tenderness, and a plot of relentless suspense and heart-pounding pace.
Suspenseful and addicting!
This is another good and quick read by James Patterson, featuring Alex Cross. I think I read this in an evening because the chapters are short and you can't wait to get to the next one.

The whole Alex Cross series is great! They're always fast paced & keep me turning pages!
Well done intrigue. Leaves one hating the bad guy and hoping all turns well.. when it cannot possible seem that it will.
It was hard to get really intersted in this book but once I did I did want to see what the ending was but it wasn't one that I just couldn't put down. This is the first book that I have read from Patterson and it was just hard to keep up with and so many characters that I really had to concentrate on who did what.
