Lieutenant Eve Dallas faces a serial killer who offers his victimsx eternal youth by taking their life. After a tip from a reporter, Eve finds the body of a young woman in a dumpster. Hours before, a news station had mysteriously received portraits of the woman. The pictures weren't out of the ordinary for a young woman just starting a modeling career, except she wasn't a model and the photos were taken after she was killed.

This one's a real page turner. Get your chores done before you begin to read it !

In this installment of the continuing adventures of Eve and Roarke (ha!), Lt. Eve Dallas finds herself searching for a photographer killing young college students and "imaging" them directly after death. Her friend and sometime ally, Nadine, at Channel 75 is sent notes and photos of each victim (some before they are even found). As they are drawn deeper into the mind of the killer with each note, each body, Eve must unravel the threads linking the victims and their killer, before she loses one of her own.

I really enjoy the mysteries of the In Death series, but the relationships between all the characters make the story. In this book more of Roarke's past is revealed - and not just to Eve or the reader, but to Roarke himself, as well. I love watching Eve tiptoe around the minefields she encounters as she finds herself more and more involved with people who are living - and continuously confused by that fact!

When Reporter Nadine Furst receives photographs of a dead girl along with a message telling where to find her body, she immediately calls Lt. Eve Dallas. Eve investigates and soon finds herself on the trail of a serial killer who takes photos of his victims before disposing of them. Meanwhile, Roarke's world is shaken when he discovers the woman he thought was his mother really wasn't his mother at all.

This is another good mystery which, as usual, I didn't figure out whodunit. But what makes this story different from some of the others in the series is the change in circumstance for some characters. Roarke finding out the woman who abandoned him as a child really wasn't his mother leaves him wondering about his whole life. In the process he shuts out the two people he loves most, Eve and Summerset. Both Eve and Summerset are confused by his behavior and come together to help figure out what is happening to Roarke. My rating: 4.5 Stars.

this is an interesting book in the series and involves some of the other characters more, like Baxter, Peabody and Truheart. If you like photography, you'll be especially interested.

Roarke hears the story of his birth mother and it's not Meg. It's the heart of who Roarke is and it unfolds greatly!

A novel in the futuristic series. Detective Eve Dallas is on the trail of a sadistic serial killer with a sick and twisted talent for photography. The murderer's M.O. is stalking young, vibrant people in the prime of their lives then killing them quickly and painlessly. He photographs his victims before and after their murders and taunts the media with the pictures!
