I was given this book when I was engaged to be married. I really, really enjoyed reading each chapter and I appreciated the prayers that she had written at the end of each one. This is a great book to help you get started praying for your husband.

I adore this book. This is a powerfully helpful book. Your personal prayers for your husband, and Stormie's general (overall) prayer reminders of specific target points are great for your husband and your family. Don't ever feel like you're praying these things without your husband's consent. The word of God and the heart of a wife that's FILLED with love, respect, and humility towards her God and her husband is a heart that God looks upon with delight. He moves upon the prayers that come from that type of heart. Normally when I pray these prayers, I try to pray them all - straight through, and walk away in thankfulness - knowing that God will determine which ones He will manifest first. :)

This is an amazing book to jump start your prayer life for your husband! It will allow you a scope of prayers while helping develop your ability to flow freely in prayer. I highly recommend this as an awesome prayer tool! You will find yourself growing in prayer and having to stop while reading prayers and praying your own private prayers, then resuming readying and praying! Enjoy!

I've learned a lot about prayer from Stormie Omartian. This book is very insightful with sections for different categories that are important for a man. She shows you how to pray using scripture. It can make a big difference in the way you currently pray for your husband. I highly recommend it!

After reading this book, I find myself praying more selflessly. I would recommend it to any wife wanting to improve her marriage. This book does not approach prayer as a weapon against our husbands but against the devil's ploys, starting with giving our husbands new wives (God making you a new creature).

This book is broken down in to small segments to coincide with specific areas to work on with prayer. While I enjoyed the simplicity of this concept, I found many things I didn't agree with. There are times when Stormie "preaches" something as factual that is nothing more than her specific view. All that said, this is agreat way to get your mind focused on praying intently, specifically,and ritually. Worth your time to read at least one of her titles.

This book really helped me look at my husband in a whole other way, really through the eyes of Jesus. Because before praying for him, I started praying for his wife....that's me! The Lord heard my prayers, and He changed me. In the time I spent reading this book, I have seen changes in my husband even if so subtley. I would reccomment this book to every wife, it is very encouraging and a very easy read.

Excellent read. The book arranges prayers by topic, addressing the fears, concerns, and (yikes) sin of a wife. It is very encouraging to the faint hearted... you CAN make it through marriage even if it is a marriage between two sinners. ;)
It helped me keep my head straight and helped me pray in a bad time I thought couldn't pray or think anymore. I thank God for this guidence during that really hard time. Thank you, Stormie for listening to God's call.

I had never read any of Stormie Omartian's books on prayer before. I guess I expected a basic why and how to pray book and wasn't expecting to be inspired by it. I like how it's broken down to pray throughout the month for your husband and has scripture for each topic. I did pray through the book. There's a day to pray for your husband's work. Part of that prayer was to pray that your husband will be paid for the work he does. Not long after praying this my husband had a client who hadn't been able to pay come to him and say, âYou will work for free no longer.â I'd say that was an answered prayer. Praise God! It was encouraging and very doable. I highly recommend this.
From what I have read so far, very interesting book.
This book could definitely be a life-changer, and marriage-saver! Even though I am reading it without being in hard times in my marriage, I'm still challenged and encouraged and convicted in the most wonderful ways, and have already seen good fruit from it! I see this book not as a "book of prayers" to read out loud and something magical happens, but as a guide to HOW we women can pray for our husbands and a starting point for even more prayer!
