Good reference, decent text book. I'm on my third copy/edition of this book, as the curriculum where I teach changes. It is a better reference than text book. If you know a bit of Linux, this will make things easier to set up and configure. If you are brand new to Linux, only get this on in conjunction with a book geared more for beginners.
