This is Mona at her best. The characters from the novella the Quilted Heart continues in this title as they start the trip to CA on a wagon train. She keeps you involved with the characters from the novella & adds some others who blend in to make this a great adventure to read. I can't wait for the next title in this series. She weaves a wonderful story.

This story sounded so good and as soon as it arrived I started reading. But it is not well written at all.
One is she started out with This is day oneTuesday, Day two Wednesday. They are traveling to California a five month journey. And the talk is about the food, digging latrins and will thow in someoe fainting. The focus was more on the alcoholic Mom and every now and then a kid fell from a tree and broke his arm.
There were a few spots were the lady characters talked with the men characters. Who they didn't like now they love. The suther kept repeating herself and then spoke of things that happened that wasn't even written in the book.
I don't recommend this book at all.

Good story about going West in a covered wagon. Recommended!
