This was my first book of Dr Laura's to read. It was very good! It was extremely inspirational! I so wish I had this book back when I started being a Stay at Home Mom. I know that it would have helped me in more ways that I can put into words. Read this book! If you were, are, or going to be a stay at home mom. This book is great for everyone. It is a feel good book about being a MOM! And all the things in between! I feel like a better mom already just reading this book and opening my eyes to what I should see more of in myself, and what should be expected of and from me, not only from our kids but from my husband as well. Hugs, Heather

This is such a wonderful book. I think that Dr. Laura gets better and better with each book that she writes. I felt validated and uplifted as I read, and I plan to keep it close and reread it again very soon. I am a stay at home, of 1 girl and 3 boys (one with autism) ages 7 to newborn, and there truly is no tougher job in the world. Hats off to all the wonderful moms who choose to stay at home, for a little while, and mold our most valuable resources, our babies, and help to make the future a little brighter, (And you know that is exactly what we stay at home mom's do!!)

Has lots of "letters" and "notes" from moms to her, so wasn't quite what I was expecting but still a definite must read and a very good book indeed. Great to read encouragement for SAHMs.

I am not very familiar with Dr. Laura, but I did not even finish the book. I found her commentary judgemental and repetitive. This seems as though her opinion could have been just as well made clear in an article as in a book. She does speak favorably of SAHMs but only by tearing down women who do not stay at home. I did not find this an uplifting book nor do I think she praises the SAHM. She simply belittled working mothers as selfish and uncaring. This leads the reader to the conclusion that a SAHM must be unselfish and loving. Personally this this book is not the kind of positive read I need on days I struggle as a SAHM.
