This is one of my favorite books. Mandy and Damien are terrific, multi-layered characters; the books is laugh-out-loud funny; the love scenes are really hot. All Erin McCarthy's books are great, but this is one of the best.

This was my first book by Erin McCarthy and I can see why she's so popular. I wasn't expecting much but a nice humorous story so I was definitely surprised by the laugh out loud story line! The characters were enjoyable without being completely cheesy and the story line kept me interested all the way through!!

This was the first book from this author and I AM IN LOVE! McCarthy's writing grabbed me from the first few pages and didn't let go until I finished the book. I laughed out loud throughout the book, got "hot and bothered" during the romance scenes, and shed a tear or two at the sweet end...perfect triangle of emotions to rate this book 5 out of 5 stars. I can't wait to read more of her books.

Erin McCarthy is such a great writer, I just love her books. They are funny, romantic & sexy. This is the story of Mandy who is pregnant by a man who doesn't want her or the baby & when she goes to apply for a new job w/benefits she would never guess that her new boss would be the best benefit. Damien is a man with alot of inner turmoil but somehow Mandy breaks through his tough exterior & they fall in love. He also falls in love with her unborn baby which of course melts Mandy's heart. They go through alot of emotions in this book & the end result is terrific.

Mandy Keeling, while on her way to a job interview is overcome by morning sickness in an elevator. She manages to keep it down but, the gorgeous man on the elevator with her just happens to be none other than Damien "Demon" Sharpton, the very man her interview is scheduled with.
Damien is just as horrified, being totally clueless as to what to do for this very sick woman. Despite the interview ending with Mandy throwing up in his wastebasket, he does hire her as his assistant.
He's grateful that he has found someone so efficient. Only...he never sees her as their communication is done by IM and e-mail. He has no way of knowing that she's purposefully avoiding him so he won't notice her slowly expanding waistline.
She desperately needs this job for the health insurance and regular hours so she can easily arrange day care. Damien wants to spend more time with her and insists that she accompany him on a trip to the Caribbean. Mandy doesn't want to go, not only for the risk of Damien seeing her in a swimsuit, but because she has been having highly erotic dreams about him.
Soon the two of them are playing games, both innocent resort games and more erotic private games. Eventually Damien finds out about Mandy's pregnancy; when he fully understands the reasons behind her secrecy, he cannot believe that the father could abandon her the way he did.
Despite the intense sexual attraction between her and Damien, Mandy is worried about what the future will hold for her and her baby. Damien is sure that he isn't able to maintain a lasting love since his heart and soul were shattered when his wife was murdered.
I was able to polish this fast paced story is a day!

Another cute, sassy read from Erin McCarthy!! In this one, our heroine becomes preggers and the daddy-to-be walks out on her. With just her 3 gal pals to help her out, she finds a job and promptly senses chemistry between her and her boss (who doesn't know she's pregnant). Things start heating up when they take a "working vacation" to Punta Cana. Even when he accidentally learns about her pregnancy, he seems to cherish her more...becoming more involved and obsessed with the bun in the oven than the mom!!
There is one problem--her boss has to overcome some emotional obstacles in order to build a relationship with his new little family. Three years prior, his wife had been murdered, and he had been arrested on murder charges. This left him bitter and skeptical about women, his family and society in general. Can he learn to love and trust again?
The book is very funny. It's also sexy. The characters are interesting. The situations are rather unique. And there's a good deal to be learned here. Read it if you can. I enjoyed every minute of it.

I just couldn't get into this one. When you are forcing yourself to read a book you know its not a keeper.
Cute, quick read. Typical E. McCarthy. If you like her other books, you'll like The Pregnancy Test. Sexy man, sassy woman, fall in lust then in love despite seemingly being so different.

Mandy Keeling is desperate. She has sold her toy shop, lost her boyfriend, and found out that she is pregnant. In search of a job with health insurance, she experiences a wave of morning sickness in the elevator on the way to an interview. Naturally, Damien Sharpton, known as the "Demon," the man with whom she has an appointment, is in the elevator with her. In spite of this inauspicious beginning, she gets the job and easily conceals her condition since they don't come into contact too often, developing instead, an electronic relationship that leads her to believe that Damien's reputation as an ogre is greatly exaggerated. Since Mandy is the first person to penetrate his tough exterior, he invites her along on a trip to the Caribbean and becomes more enthralled. Things aren't easy once they're back at the office, but love finds a way in this truly wonderful tale. This novel has it all: wit, charm, sensuality, and two of the most enjoyable, fascinating characters around.

I really liked it. There's funny moments and serious moments. Then of course very sexy moments. The characters are so visual. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did.
Erin McCarthy is really a great writer. This book is a laugh out loud funny and fast read. Mandy finds out shes pregnant and go to all odds to hide it from her new boss Damien. He finds she is attractive and demands she go on a "business trip" with him, but he has other intentions...one to try and seduce her while on this trip.....
I really really enjoyed this book as well as all the other books I've read by this author.

I love Erin McCarthy! A great quick read, steamy, sweet and romantic!
I loved this story!! AWESOME!!
Laugh out loud funny, sweet, sexy, steamy.... this book has it all!
enjoyed the story
Terrific, sexy book!
Spicy, entertaining read. Quite a bit of cussing, which makes me cringe.
Excellent easy read!
Mandy is in a pickle. She's just closed down her toy store in NYC and is therefore, jobless. She's also just found out she's PG and the father wants nothing to do with her or her baby.
On a whim, she goes to a job interview her friend sets up for her and meets Damian Sharpton who is instantly attracted to her. Even though Mandy is interested, trying to keep her "condition" a secret and have a romance at the same time might be a hard test to take.
What can I say? This is fluff at its fluffiest. The premise was kind of lame, the characters shallow and unbelieveable, and it was just plain...stupid in all honesty.
There was just no substance to this book at all. I finished it in less than 2 hours, and despite getting a reasonable amount of entertainment out of it, to me it seemed like half the book was made up of sex scenes and the plot line was, for lack of a better term, sidelined.
All and all, it's a classic Erin McCarthy book. Fluffy, reasonably fun, lighthearted, and in no way, shape, or form intellectual.
