Excellent book, and what a dilemma. After being elected president on a liberal ticket, he has to decide how to run the country after he becomes a Christian. It's something we should all think about as we go to the polls to vote.
This was a great read!! I really liked it. This is the back cover of the book:
The message was short and read: "Greetings. We have an operational .6 megaton Soviet warhead. We are modifying it for our own use and will detonate it in a major American city within eighteen months..."
-The Council
Washington, D.C. William Harrison had promised voters that if elected to the presidency,he would change the ocuntry for the better. But things aren't going as planned. Domestic and foreign policies have caused a national uproar. His administration seems powerless to draw the government out of gridlock. Worst of all, Harrison is faced with an unknown enemy's chilling threat to millions of American lives.
Responding to the real life political climate of a country in the midst of change, author Parker Hudson explores the dilemma of a fictional leader struggling with issues of power and faith. Filled with classic elements of political intrigue- terrorism, blackmail, and competing agendas-The President paints a dramatic picture of the power to be tapped in the marriage of faith and politics.
