This one is probably my favorite MHC book. Most of her stuff I find a little simplistic, and this was really no different, but the mixture of the writing style and the plot really added something this time around.

This was a great book that I couldn't put down. The whole story was brilliant and all the characters were well developed. I especially loved the way it didn't really unravel until the very end and there were several suprises. Even though I had a feeling of who the "bad guy" would turn out to be, there weren't really any clues. I only wish there was a little more to read about the main couple in the end. This book leaves you wanting to know more about the characters AFTER the mystery was over. It was a great read!

From the publisher:
Set in NY and Minnepolis-St. Paul, this is the story of Lacey Farrell, a young rising star on Manhattan's high-powered and competitive real estate scene.

"Pretend You Don't See Her" was a well researched book with interesting insight into the witness protection program. Unlike a lot of thrillers, this novel was easy to follow. However, the characters did not leap off the page and many of the scenarios seemed implausible. If I'd related better to Lacey, the protagonist, I might have gotten more chills on her behalf. Having said all that, this is still a good book to take on a plane or to the doctor's waiting room.
