PREY is the fourth book in the Werecats series. Faythe is faced with so many heartbreaking events. Marc is kidnapped, Manx faces the Tribunal, Kaci refuses to shift and her family life explodes. I have enjoyed all the books in the series, but this one stands as my favorite. It made me angry, it touched my heart and it made me cry like a baby. I'm not sure where the next installment will take Faythe, but I say, "bring it on!"

I enjoy these books but they are getting a little repetitive. Heroine is always facing an uphill battle where everyone but her own clan hates/fears/is out to get her. They win in the end but there is always the "shocking" twist. Author isn't afraid to kill off major characters - kind of like that. Afraid she is writing herself into a corner and will soon have to 'remake' the rules -

IMHO the best of the series yet. Faythe has really grown and is taking seriously the possibility of becoming the top werecat after her father retires. This was another case of once you picked up the book there was no turning it loose. There was constant action and emotional angst from page 1 till it ended. The only thing I disliked was that it had to end. Can't wait to sink my teeth in Vincent's next in the series, "Shift" Don't know how I'll make it till Marach.

I have to agree with the first reviewer (from 7/12/09) This is the BEST one yet of this series. The author broke out of the mold of the previous three and really threw emotion into 'Prey.' I laughed, I cried, I was ticked off, and was truly caught up in the story's suspense on this one. Faythe really exerted her strength in this one. She is beginning to show that can grow up and be a leader. Some of the events in the story truly broke my heart, but I appreciate that Ms. Vincent is willing to risk character lines to create such an outstanding addition to the series.

I love an author that gives us a "happily, ever after," even if it risks becoming monotonous and predictable. Reality may not always hold that, so I enjoy knowing my entertainment will!

Just because the Pride believes her lover to be dead, Faythe wont give up. Its matters of the heart that give us real strength.

Faythe, a were-tabby, is anticipating a much awaited visit with her exiled boyfriend, Marc. Marc was exiled a few months ago from the Pride and is now living in the free territory. Since they need to take Manx, a were-tabby, through the free territory for her trial of murder, Faythe jumps at the chance to see Marc. Even Manxs newborn babys crying does nothing to hinder Faythe from her excitement. Of course, Faythe is worried about Kaycee, a young female teenager in her care, who is getting sick because she refuses to shift into her werewolf form. She is also worried about her Alpha, her father, whose authority is in question by the council. But her much anticipated reunion with Marc is short-lived when they are attacked by a band of rogue werewolves.

Faythes reunion with Marc is short-lived, not because of the attack on them, but because Kaycee has fallen deathly ill. Faythe must get her to shift shape to save her life, so she leaves Marc behind to investigate the rogue attack, and goes home to Kaycee. But another attack happens at home, and one of their own is killed. Faythe is devastated by their loss, but still puts her own emotions on hold while she urges Kaycee to shift shape. But in the midst of all emotions running high, Faythe receives a life-altering phone call. Marc has been attacked and taken. She is in a race against the clock to find him before he is declared dead; sixty hours.

I absolutely love this series! Prey is filled with adrenaline-rushed fights, emotionally driven characters, and a plot so solid, youll be up far into the night turning the pages. Faythe is as sassy as ever, but her character reveals more depth in this installment. Prey will have you clawing for more!

This is the book that changes everything in the werecat world! Unbelieveable. Faythe is finally growing up and seeing herself as a leader and not being a little girl.

I cried and cussed and shook my head but never put this book down! Faythe's been on trial before but this is a trial of emotions and she is up to the test. My heart broke for her and the whole werecat family, but this book is personal. Another amazing installment!

My Thoughts: Oh yes! I put off reading this for a while after I bought it. I wanted to wait until closer to the release date of Shift (book 5). I finally got around to reading it and let me tell you, I was blown away and am happy book 5 is out! We are re-introduced to Faythe, Marc, and all the other werecats. But this time, all the werecats are under attack and they must fight and defend their territory. I've always had a thing for Marc. Yes, he's a bit controlling sometimes but he is still my number 1 man. By the end of this book though, I was also quite drawn to Jace. He really sparked my interest. Well, Faythe's life is changing. She is gaining more independence and learns to really defend herself. Marc gets kidnapped and she never gives up hope for him. They must find him and quickly! We also see her brother Ethan throughout the book. We get introduced to new characters. This book was truly amazing. I cried, I laughed, and the last chapter really leaves you hanging. My mouth dropped open and stayed there for a minute!! This series is fast paced and full of action. This is by far one of the best series I have ever read and you should give it a try right now if you haven't!

Overall: Loved it! But now I'm torn between Marc and Jace!!! I think, I'll just take them both please.

Cover: Its cute! All the covers have the same elements and they are all cute.
