I just noticed that the price of a few upcoming MMP romance releases has increased to $9.99. It's been at 7.99 for a while now, but a two-dollar jump? Or did I miss the 8.99 for the standard historical romance? Ten dollars for an mmp. Don't you think that's a bit excessive? Rising costs, yeah yeah, I get that. It's been way long since I bought a book. Thank goodness for PBS.

I haven't bought a MMPB in quite a while.  No idea they were so expensive!  That's a lot for a little book.

The last few full price ones I bought were $7.99 excpt I bought them at Target and Walmart so they weren't completely full price!  That will be a huge ouch if more of them jump to $9.99.

I've only seen a few priced that high so far, Vicki, but I feel it's likely to be a trend. Yes. OUCH.

I just got a new MMPB.  Had seen it at Target but I thought it was quite expensive.  I figured I'd rather WL it here and spend a credit on it.

Odd thing I noticed, it's about half an inch taller and half an inch wider than normal so it's going to stick out on the bookshelf now.

I wonder if the price increase is something only a few publisher's do for now before it becomes an industry-wide practice? Assuming it was almost $9 or $10 you paid, Sarah, that is steep. This is precisely why I get my books here, and I truly appreciate members/friends who CAN and DO pay for books and pass them on to me as I am rarely able to buy new books.

Even at the Target discounted price the book was still like $8.  I did get it here, that's just too expensive for me.  I have lots of credits so I'd rather wait a week or two.  I got a lovely copy that really looks like it's never been read.

I find the majority of the time I get almost new or fresh-off-the-press copies, too. I wait my turn on the WL or borrow from the library. These two sources keep me in a steady supply of material.
