Interesting concept, and written somewhat different than his McCade series. In fact, I thought this book was much better than the McCade books. The McCade series seems to have several sub-plots the hero has to go through before he gets to what is really on his agenda. In this book, the hero and canine heroine pursue their objective from the start.
