Cassie Anders is a college student, whose major interest is telepathy and psychic research. A sensitive, she is adept at card and mind reading. A friend begs her to come to his parents' country home, which is haunted by an elderly couple who were murdered there many years ago. Innocently, Cassie accepts the invitation, eager to put her psychic powers to a real test. Once inside Malville Hall she is stunned to discover that she is unable to leave. Supernatural forces intend to keep her their prisoner until she performs a special penance -- communication with the dead!
