An old collection with three tales of "suspense" - a Krentz novella followed by short stories from Sinclair and Miller. The novella is classic Krentz (spunky heroine, take-charge hero, eccentric supporting characters, mildly dangerous mystery). The short stories are so-so (improbable yet predictable, a bit overwrought). Good for passing time on a train but they won't keep you up late.

3 different stories: The Private Eye by Jayne Ann Krentz - PI Josh January is no hero, but he'll fake it for Maggie Gladstone... Keegan's Bluff by Dani Sinclair - When Gillian's car broke down, she thought she was having a bad day. Then a half-naked man tackled her, and she knew she was having a bad day... Cop Next Door by Julie Miller - Loner Ethan Cross doesn't trust anyone - it's all part of the job for an undercover cop. So is his suspicious mind just working overtime...or is his pretty new neightbor really hiding something?

Another fun romantic suspense read from Jayne Ann Krentz. The additional 2 short stories were good too.
