This book is wonderful although it is a tearjerker. I found it helpful in understanding some of the youth that I work with.

A delightful coming-of-age story - a boy who overcomes the challenges of a dysfunctinal family and the foster care system - a lot of heart.

After reading about his early life, I am impressed that he turned into such a responsible adult. It was an enjoyable book to listen to.
