I just love this series and this book is no exception. It is well written, the characters continue to come alive, I am sure I know them in my mind. if you are looking for a wonderful series this is it. Wholesome material, insight to the Amish community and just enough intrigue to keep you coming back for more.
The book is the 4th in the group and it does not disappoint. Fast reading and keeps you turning the pages and wanting to go on with the next book. Great reading

from back cover.....At its heart, The Prodigal is a multi-layered mystery and a saga of love, a story of deceit and untangled webs, of disgrace and redemption, encompassed by the merciful threads that knit families together. Never would this family, especially Leah, have expected the return of one more prodigal....

This is another book in the series that was hard to put down!
great series, wonderful way to learn about the Amish ways.
As with all of Beverly Lewis' books this is another wonderful story in the Abrahma's Daughters series. I love her books on the life of being Amish and it's everyday struggles. I would recommend reading this in the order it was written.
I have read all five in the series "Abram's Daughters and each one leaves me enthralled and anxious to read the next one. Learning about Amish life through these stories is very interesting, especially when their lives reflect the lives of non-Amish people. I am also anxious to read other works by Beverly Lewis.
This book is a real page turner. Very Nice.
THESE ARE SOME OF THE BEST BOOKS I'VE READ,ONCE YOU START TO READ THEM YOU CAN'T PUT THEM DOWN.

Leah is required to make another difficult choice. Will this secret of secrets bring further sorrow for Leah, Sadie, and the Ebersol family?
An alarming secret is brought to light in Abram's Daughters, book four. Will this secret of secrets bring further sorrow for Leak,Sadie and the Ebersol Family?
This is book 4 in a series called Abram's Daughters.
In my opinion, "The Prodigal", by Beverly Lewis is the best book in her series, "Abram's Daughters." Being a woman, familiar with the Amish I could relate to this book. It really has true Amish content. I find this especially true in the part about the Mennonite friends; conflict of interest; and shunning of family members. For all of these things were so real in Lancaster when I was living there. It brought me back in time, as I turned every page! I enjoyed reading about the experiences that the Ebersol family has endured. It really hit home. I hope she has more books!
Book 4 in the series about the Amish
