A nice, quick read. Anderson's writing flows as effortlessly as always. The main character is a bit different than her previous ones, I found her very enjoyable. The characters were rich and I felt everything was well presented and well represented.

Good realistic view of modern teen life, with entertaining character development and novel plot.
I like Anderson's books but I also dislike them. They have a great influence on people but that's also why I dislike them. I read books to escape from the world's problems so reading her defeats the purpose. PROM was masterfully written but depressing. Anderson has wrote the book in a very negative yet great way.
A wholly unlikeable narrator/protagonist. Ashley is naive and not a good kid, and, while "realistic," I didn't like her at all. I could not sympathize with her stupid life choices and the fact that she's grossed out by her parents who are not only still married, but obviously in love, is remarkably immature.
I liked "Speak" and "Fever 1793," so I had high hopes for this book, too. Very disappointing.

A very entertaining story with lots of eccentric characters and very short chapters.
I really enjoy all of this author's works, but this one was a lot more lighthearted than the ones I've read so far. I liked how it was about a "regular" teenage girl in Philly, and almost a Cinderella story, but without being cheesy or fake.
It is a good, funny, cute book for teenager girls such as myself! :)It says that is is a hardcover but it is actually paperback! Just to let u all know!
