Good book. Very suspenseful and thought-provoking. Frank Peretti does a great job of writing spiritual thrillers that could easily happen in today's world.

A prophetic and suspenseful book written by well known Christian fiction writer Frank Peretti.
Helpful Score: 3
John Barrett is a well-known anchorman for a news station, comfortable and locally famous. His father is the Prophet, a street preacher. Now John is hearing voices, suffering voices. This is a good story with a Christian bent; but that's what Frank Peretti writes.

One of Frank Peretti's best and that's saying something. An excellent story of finding the truth and coming to faith. Loved it!!!

Great book. Peretti never fails to give you a good read

Frank Peretti has woven a prophetic take for our times, Prophet caries all the hallmarks of block-busting fiction -plenty of edge of the seat action, nail-biting suspense, and blow-you-out-of-the-water spiritual impact.

More of Peretti . . . it penetrates to the very heart of a vast struggle that threatens to tear our society to pieces, the struggle over which vision of moral authority will define our nation.

Makes me think every evening when I watch the news. What is the rest of the story? I very compelling book. If you have strong feelings about abortin.. . this is a good read, too.

Very good story line and inspiring too.

Prophet carries all the hallmarks of Frank's blockbusting fiction--plenty of edge-of-the-seat action, nail-biting suspense, breakneck pacing, and seismic spiritual impact! (from the back of the book)
Very good read!
Dynamic book on the unseen forces around us.
Frank Peretti is one of my favorite authors, because I can never gues where the story line is going or how it is going to end. In this case, The Prophet comes to town with miracles, but is he a saint or the devil?
I really enjoyed reading Peretti's "This present Darkness", but I couldn't even finish this one....definately not my favorite, but if you like tales about angels and demons then you might like this one.
A VERY good read. Don't want to put it down to see what happens next.
This book is GREAT, as all of Peretti's are! A little slow for me to get into in the beginning, but then it is quite the page turner!!
A glimpse of what a 21st century prophet of God might be and the internal struggle of the gifted one.
very good Christian fiction - mystery
This is a good religious fiction story.
This book is about people and how we struggle with right and wrong in todays society
I enjoyed reading Prophet immensely. Not only was the book suspenseful and intriguing, Peretti hits upon controversial issues in a way that causes the reader to examine his own opinions on these issues. A good read!
Peretti at his finest
"John Barrett's comfortable, successful world is being rocked to its foundation. As a well-kown anchorman for the popular "NewsSix at Five" program, he's caught his producer in journalistic wrongdoing - and she appears to be hiding something much bigger."
"Suddenly John's father's "accidental" death isn't looking so accidental. And John's estranged son, Carl, has returned to challenge his integrity and find the man behind the TV image. And what are these mysterious "voices" Barrett is hearing...?"
"Once again, master storyteller, Frank Peretti has woven a prophetic tale for our times."
