I can't recommend this book highly enough. All parents should read it. Becker's advice for protecting children and teenagers from predators is practical. Make careful slow choices of the people you include in your child's life and fast choices about who you exclude. If you want safety skills for children outside the home, warning signs of sexual abuse, how to screen baby-sitters and choose schools, and strategies for keeping teenagers safe from violence, this book is for you.

This is an excellent book on how to keep children safe. The author even gives you the language to use when discussing these difficult topics with your child. This is not a typical book, he really goes beyond, making you really think hard about each topic.

The best part of the book is "The Test of Twelve" a list of twelve attributes your child must possess before they are allow to hang out at the mall with their friends without adults or walk home from school by themselves etc. I have it posted on my wall and will definitely use it with my kids. This is a must read for every parent.
