I happened upon this audiobook while looking for something to order. I always liked Mr. Rogers but had never really intently watched him. After listening to this tribute, essentially, I was startled at how kind and conscientious this man was. Not ordinary folk. He took it to another level, like Mother Theresa, Gandhi, the Dalai Lama, etc. Mr. Madigan writes from an "everyman" standpoint and is very touching as he describes many instances where Fred Rogers helped him through his personal struggles. He made him, as he did with others, no doubt feel worthy by being completely focused and there for him. He gave unconditional love. Fame did not seem to affect Mr. Rogers, except in that it allowed him to reach more people to help. This book was a pleasure to read.
