Explicit sex? Not in my opinion. I thought the sex was pretty vanilla. That said, the story was great! The author intrigued me from the beginning and carried my interest to the end. I look forward to more from this author.

I really enjoyed this story (4 stars). It was so good, and I was so interested in the setting, I found out this writer is aka Joely Skye, & writes the Minders series, which is in the same setting.

Paranormal suspense. Odd book - lots of twists and turns but never truly engaged me. Maybe it was the author did too good a job of the sheer 'animalness' of Puma and the subsequent effect on the 'humaness' of Callie. Dev was more personally engaging but his efforts to find and hold onto his rapidly vanishing memories was painful. If you have had someone dear to you suffer with Alzheimer's this might be a real hot button for you.

Although there is sex - despite her animal self's dislike/fear of it - there is really very little sense of connection between the two of them. It really didn't read like a romance at all.

Checking the publisher's site it shows the book as part of a series called Northern Shifters: [The Strength of the Pack, The Strength of the Wolf, Puma, Anchor] which seems to overlap with Joely Skye's Minders series: [Monster, Zombie, Minder] and her Shifters series: [Marked, Feral, Lynx, Wolf Town].

Had an expectation for more conflict with the minders, and the story ending wrapped up a bit too nice for my liking. Overall, just OK for me.
