John Saul at his best. What else can you say?

A weak effort on Saul's part. Somewhat interesting.

Not for people who need a happy ending! But then I guess most of his books aren't :) Very gripping story with intresting characters. I enjoyed it.
Love Saul, but couldn't get with this one.
Anything by John Saul is worth reading. He's better than Stephen King any day.
Peter Balsam has come to the sleepy desert town of Neilsville to teach its youth, and finds a mystery of mounting horror. Something is happening th the young girls of St. Francis Xavier High School--something evil. In bloodlet and terror a suicide contagion has swept the town...while a dark order of its holy men enacts a secret medieval ritual. Is hysteria manipulating these innocent children into violent self-destruction? Or has a supernatural force, a thirteenth-century madness, returned to punish the sinners.
Read it Twice~ But it is time to let someone else enjoy it.
