I don't want to discourage anyone from reading this--it is very good, it starts out right from the first with a murder then they get assigned to another one and it goes along pretty good until about 3/4 into it--then it gets into terms above my head and the story takes a different turn and makes it into more of 'spy' thing so I skimmed about the last 3/4 of it until the end and it took a turn I didn't expect, so it is very good if you can keep up with the technical terms, etc.

Another interesting Bowers file. Patrick is still chasing Basque and has some promising new leads when he is called to a double homicide by Director Wellington. The murder of a wife and daughter and the husband is missing. Nothing is what it seems as Patrick, Lien-hua, & Jake investigate the missing husband, an assassin, an eco-terrorist group looking for an abandoned underground secret military facility. Happening near where his brother lives, Patrick works to make peace with his brother, counteract Tessa's unusual behavior, & bond more with Lien-hua. Old temptations rear their head and a game of cat & mouse with the assassin has Patrick on his toes. Not as good as the other books. Too much technical jargon & too pat of an ending with the murderer. I will still finish the series though
