A self described Jewish princess spends a year on the road in an RV with her psychiatrist turned road warrior husband. Her primary motivation seems to be the idea she could go places without actually getting out of her pajamas and out of the house. Doreen becomes more and more sympathetic as the trip unfolds and she branches out to meet people and nature along the way. This is an interesting travelogue and an engaging memoir of an unusual experience.

I loved it. This might be because I am also a princess [west coast variety, no shoe fetish] who is the unhappy spouse of a man who likes camping. When we returned from our latest trip I was asked how it had gone and my answer was "Dirt, bugs, and public restrooms - what's not to love?" Dear hubby winced...
This is the type of book you keep having the urge to read aloud - if only to explain the giggling.

Loved this book, sure it's not a Pulitzer Prize winner, but for fun and travel interests, it was great. Actually wished that Doreen had included a little more specific travel notes.

Loved this book - laughed out loud. A spoiled JAP faces the real world and changes.

Don't even bother with this book. The author (the main character) is so shallow and spoiled. After about the first 50 pages I was ready to get sick.

My husband and I are thinking about getting a motorhome, so I loved reading of the adventures Doreen, her husband and their pets all shared together. It was a fun read. I found myself laughing out loud throughout the book. My husband also read and enjoyed it. Great read, I hope she writes another book.

I loved this book. Once I started reading it I didn't want to put it down. It is an eye opener for anyone thinking of RVing or people wondering what makes someone want to go RVing. My husband has just started reading it and I continue to hear laughter coming from him.
I hope Doreen goes on another adventure and writes about it, so I can enjoy her wonderful sense of humor again.
