Great Bosch mystery, if you like Connelly, you will like this one.
This was the first Ian Rankin book that I read, and I could not put it down.
Just how randon were the killings at Edinburgh's posh, private Port Edgar Academy? Everyone assumed a lone madman was responsible for the melee at the school. Suspensful t the end. Tightly written. Great characters.

I have been reading these out of order, but found I could tie into eatlier and later books. Rankin does an excellant job of creating a background to go with his DI Rebus character. The SAS connection rings true to an old soldier.

I can't seem to get enough of Rankin and Rebus! This is the 14th installment. Series should be read in order. Three plots in this one but the main plot is a school shooting. Lots of dry wit and humor. Characters are well-drawn and fascinating. Lots of twists and red herrings with a surprise ending. One of his better books. I recommend this series to those who like their mystery/thrillers dark and gritty.
