I read the first couple of chapters, and the writing style just didn't grab me. I can't really say anything bad about it, but it didn't engage me, so I put it down. Maybe someone else will enjoy it.

There are a few quilting mysteries out there. I think this series deserves to put at the top of the pile. The quilting was interesting and informative. The mystery well multi layered, and well planned.
The funny thing is I thought this series was about Harriet TUBMAN, not TRUMAN. I thought it was set in the 1800s. Right away I saw my error, this mystery series is set in modern day Washington. I really like that you get the feel that you are in Washington, almost to the point that you can smell the pine trees, and feel the rain.
I gave this a 4.5. I cant wait to dive into book two.
