Pleasantly surprised. I loved Quinn's profession. It's notable for his background as a rancher. Here in Idaho, most, if not all, ranchers despise wolves. The wolf hate is big in the state. So I loved his profession, outlook, and treatment of his pack. Even when something bad happens, it is understandable.
The big bad is obvious. Another thing that irked me (I don't expect this in historical or paranormal romances) was the lack of discussion about birth control. In contemporary romances, I expect to read (at least once) some mention of condom use and/or I'm on the pill.

Excellent cowboy family saga. I love the family interactions. I can't wait to read the other two books in the series.
First of the trilogy. Really liked the conways and particularly enjoyed Quinn and cheyenne. Looking forward to josh's story.
