An amazing book if you're looking for the true meaning of caring for the orphans and widows as Jesus commands. This book is deep and is not a fun read. It's a soul searching book for those who want to know who Jesus really is and what He's all about. It is a life transforming book that makes you think about what is most important. What is Jesus worth?

Wow, simply wow! This is one of the most amazing books I have ever read. David Platt does a great job at bringing scripture alive and helping us see what it really says. He looks at the American Dream and shows that to many Christians today have confused the American Dream with Christianity. Platt lays the ground work for us as Christians to see the difference between the life Christ has called us to live and the life the American Dream calls us to live. I don't think Platt says anything radical in his book, what he does it takes these true principles and radically challenges us to live like Christ has called us to live. The radical part is that this life is so different than what the world thinks it should be. I think this is a book that will change peoples lives and is well worth the read.

Radical opens with underground churches in Asia, people whose faith can get them killed or their tongues cut out, literally. People whose risk everything for their faith. But here in America, we go to church every Sunday, it's something we do every week. We don't worry about our lives, the welfare of our family as we do so. We don't walk for miles to get to the Church, arriving dirty with rags on. Radical speaks about what our faith is about, not what makes it comfortable.
