A cool story about humanity being forced to clean up its act. Good for making all environmentalists feel all fuzzy and warm and justified.
An ecological sci-fi novel with numerous subplots somewhat tied together with knowledge of what happens in the future and past.
Not all of it made sense. For example, one of the subplots concerns a woman with aids who develops a false male organ so she can use the men's restroom. I never did figure out why this was included.
