I found this to be a delightful, warm, charming story that made me smile and made me think. I loved the small town feel of the story and the believeable characters. I know these people, I have them in my family. It's not a new book, but it's traditional in feel.

Raney is a small-town Baptist. Charles is a liberal from Atlanta. And RANEY is the story of their marriage.
A comic novel which traces the rocky marriage between opposites who make it through two years, two months, and two days of togetherness, with a little help from their counselor.
Charming, wise, funny, and truthful, it is a novel for everyone to love.

Raney rates high on my "laugh out loud" list. Two people that match.dot would light a match to their resumes rather than ever consider pairing them, somehow through the power of love marry and sort out their varying cultural backgrounds. I was amused, as a northerner, by the colloquialisms. Example: women swimming at the beach loses the top half of her bikini exposing her "dinners". Certainly worth a read!
