This was my first Julie Garwood and OH MY GOD!!!! I loved this book. While I was reading it, I was working full time and planning my wedding. I finished it in three late nights. I was up until two in the morning which for me is incredible. (What can I say, I like my sleep!) I loved Brodick and Gillian. I cried at the end. It was one of my favorite romances and I will always keep a copy of it on my bookshelf!

First I have read of this author. If you like stories based with the England/Scotland feud theme then this is the book for you. Suspense, romance, humor - this book has it all. Great read (but does have sex scenes so if not comfortable with them then do not get this book or skip them as I do. :))

I L-O-V-E this book!!!! I finished it and missed the characters so much that I went back a few days later and READ IT AGAIN!!! ALL the characters are well developed and make you care for them...I laughed out loud and even shed a few tears over them.
LOTS of fun twists and lots of highlander manliness :)
***MAKE SURE YOU READ THE FIRST BOOK in the connected series THE SECRET first!!! ****
The next book in the series SHADOW MUSIC is another favorite of mine.

I was a bit skeptical, but I thought I would try it.
I ended up enjoying the book and have decided that it's a keeper. And as a result, I want to read "The Secret", the prequel of sorts.
