Part of a great series--especially if you are an English major--similar to Amanda Cross mysteries

This is third in the series of Dobson's Karen Pelletier mysteries and, to my mind, the best I've read to date. I'm not even a Poe fan, but actually the ties to him in this story are merely in spirit and in his connection to a female poet of his era. The murder that occurs as this story unfolds has a horde of suspects, practically the entire English Department at the historic New England college where Dr. Pelletier is an adjunct professor. The story flies along like the proverbial raven as Karen assists the intriguing Lt. Piotrowski in solving the puzzle while handling all the other pressing duties professors are faced with at the end of the fall semester.
