I had this book for a while and started reading it one night, but just couldn't get into it. So it sat on my bookshelf for a couple of months before I picked it back up and started reading it again. Then I ended up loving it and it was really enjoyable!

Great story. Loved the characters. Just the right amount of mystery and intrigue.
Certainly not the best of Barbara Taylor Bradford and very predictable.
Read this with a reading buddy in my online book club, The Reading Cove. Ambitious effort at a sweeping family dynasty/murder mystery, but it fell short. Repetitious to a fault. It didn't work for me and I lost interest in the Deravenels too soon.
I love Barbara Taylor Bradford's books.They are all good.
