Fantastic how Di Lorenzo takes the halo from St. Abraham. Recommended for any student of American History.

What an eye-opener! I wish I could convince every American to read this book. I expected it to support my understanding of Lincoln, but it did much more than that. It expanded my knowledge of the depths of Lincoln's awfulness. It provided me with background for the war. It deepened my understanding of the Constitution and the purposes for its wording. And it deepened my understanding of the effects of the war and so-called "reconstruction." Proponents of the so-common revisionist history will not like this one! Well-documented.

The Book is alright. It highlights facts that are impending during the Civil War era. However the other is somewhat biast, in my personal opinion.

A solid economic and political survey on Lincoln's war. It addresses the question of why America was the only country that ended slavery through war. The argument is that Lincoln was more concerned with centralizing power and destroying state's rights rather. It shows Lincolns innate racism and desire to send free blacks to Liberia or Haiti or anyplace except America. He also was an enthusiastic dictator who encouraged his generals to commit war crimes in the south.
